SKID ROW ROMANCE Book 3
June 21, 2018
How could there be romance in Vancouver’s Skid Row?
Mike is working undercover, sitting propped against a dumpster, and he can’t take his eyes off of Layla.
She always brought a wooden stool and an easel with her, propping her crazy sign on it, Poems, Two Dollars, and then just sitting there on the dirty corner for two or three hours a day. She had a tiny shoebox under the stool where she stowed whatever money she earned.
At first, there was no need for the box because Layla only got one or two customers a day. But business was picking up, she had four or five coins already this morning.
Who is she? Why is she doing such a weird thing?
And how can he get to know her better?
